Store Policies

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to read all company policies listed on this page prior to ordering or returning merchandise.

Orders and Payments: Orders may be placed by email or phone. We accept Paypal, MasterCard, VISA, and money orders. If you are sending a money order, it must be mailed when you place your order, and we will reserve your purchase for up to two weeks to allow your money order to arrive.

Pre-orders: Due to the number of cancellations, pre-orders require a non-refundable deposit of $30 per item, regardless of method of payment. Keep in mind that we order merchandise from the manufacturer according to pre-order requests. We will accept cancellations prior to the time that Dreamcastle Dolls receives notification from the manufacturer that your order has been shipped, but your deposit will be forfeited. Once your order arrives, your credit card will be charged the remainder of the price, and the item will automatically be shipped. If you are paying by Paypal and do not respond within one week to notification that your item has arrived, it will be considered cancelled and your deposit forfeited. If this happens twice, your other pre-orders may be cancelled by us at our discretion. Pre-orders will be fulfilled on a first come, first served basis. If for some reason we do not receive enough product, you will be notified as soon as possible.

Please note: Pre-order items shown on this site and in manufacturers' catalogs are prototypes only. The actual product may vary or may be changed during production. If this is a concern, it is best to wait until an item is actually in stock to order.

Layaways: We will accept layaways up to 3 months on orders of $150 or more. (Special arrangements can be made for layaways over $1000. Please contact us.) You must provide a credit card number (or one third of the total if paying by money order). Your credit card will be charged one third of the total at the time you make your order, and subsequent payments in the same amount will charged the same day every month to your credit card. Your order will be shipped the day that your third and final payment is charged. Layaway payments are forfeited if you fail to complete your layaway as specified in the time agreed upon, and payments are nontransferable to other orders. It is your responsibility to notify us if you move or if your credit card expires before the layaway is final. Layaway purchases are not returnable.

Gift Certificates: Gift Certificates in any denomination are available. Please call or email for information.

Tax: Texas residents must pay 8.25% local taxes. This rate also applies to any purchases made in the physical store in Austin, Texas or at local doll shows.

One 10", 12" or 16" female doll in the mainland US is $9. Each additional doll is $5.
16" dolls in oversized boxes (such as those with huge gowns) are $11.
Regular male dolls are $10.
Harry Potter scale dolls are $11 each.
American Models are calculated on an individual basis due to box size.
Regular boxed outfits are $6 for the first, and $3 for each additional.
De-boxed outfits can be mailed in a First Class envelope for $3. Priority shipping for these is $5. De-boxed outfits can be added in to a doll box for $1.

Please note that if you order one or two items, they will come in the manufacturer's shipper, unless you request double boxing, and pay $1 extra. A purchase of three items will automatically be combined inside another box and cushioned with packing peanuts. For four or more items it is usually cheaper to ship items two by two than it is to ship in an oversized box in the US. We cannot predict the shipping times on pre-orders, but we will gladly hold items and ship two or more at a time, if you request this.

Shipping Internationally: For these, shipping is determined by weight. We ship by Priority Airmail, which includes insurance. We will quote you the shipping price at the time of ordering. Overseas customers are responsible for taxes and duty within their own country. The true item value will be listed on customs forms, and we will not declare merchandise as a gift. We do understand the expense of taxes, but we simply cannot prepare false documents.

Returns: Returns are acceptable, but you must call or email for return authorization and shipping instructions within 3 days of receiving your merchandise. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted, and will be returned to the sender at the sender's expense. In the case of shipping damage, you must return all original packaging. If you receive a defective product, we may send you a replacement of the same item if it is available, or we will assist you in contacting the doll hospital. Returns are not accepted on special sale items, layaways or artist dolls.

Privacy: Dreamcastle Dolls believes your privacy is a critical part of your relationship with our business. The information we collect when you place an order will never be sold as a mailing list, shared with manufacturers or distributed in any way without your knowledge and permission, except as required by law.
